How to connect SQL MI Data source as a cloud connection in Power BI Service for scheduled services

I'm able to connect to the SQL Managed Instance using Power BI Desktop without any issues. However, when attempting to create a cloud connection to SQL MI in Power BI service (since SQL MI supports it), I encounter the following error:

I've already configured the Network Security Group (NSG) to allow access from Power BI, as shown below:

Despite specifying the correct port number in the connection string, I'm still unable to establish a cloud connection from the Power BI Service.

Could you please advise on the next steps or if there are any additional configurations needed? Thanks!
Anto

    Hi Anto Francis
This issue seems more related to Power BI rather than Azure SQL MI configuration. Power BI questions aren’t supported in the Q&A forums at the moment. You can check the official Power BI documentation here: https://learn.microsoft.com/power-bi/

I would recommend posting it in the Power BI Community forum for more targeted help: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Forums/ct-p/PBI_Comm_Forums
