Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ where the auto-rotate feature has stopped working. This happened right after I updated my Windows and Intel GPU drivers.

Here's what I've tried so far to fix it:

I've installed all the latest firmware and Windows updates.

I rolled back the graphics driver update, but the problem persisted.

I've tried reinstalling the Intel Sensor Collection drivers from 2016.

I've also run a hardware check using the surface diagnostic tool And I got the following Screenshot 2025-08-05 143924

I'm hoping this isn't a hardware-related issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ousamma,

Have you check if Rotation Lock is turned off. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Display and ensuring the Rotation Lock toggle is disabled. Next, open Device Manager and inspect the Sensors section. Look for entries like Intel(R) Integrated Sensor Solution, and if found, try uninstalling the device and then rebooting your Surface to let Windows reinstall it automatically. Also, expand the Firmware section and check for any warnings next to Surface System Aggregator a yellow triangle would indicate a problem. Let me know if you still experiencing the same issue after this.

    Best,
    Jeric
