Send an SMS message Try sending SMS messages using a purchased number from dfps-comm-service-dev SMS Communication Service
Description:
We are currently experiencing issues with SMS messages not being delivered when sent via Azure Communication Services (ACS) using a purchased number.
We attempted to send a test message via the Try SMS interface in the Azure Portal and through the SDK (SmsClient.Send
using C#), but the message was not received on the target mobile number.

SDK Used: Azure.Communication.Sms (latest version)
Steps Taken:
Verified the number format and capabilities.
Confirmed that the ACS connection string is correctly set and working.
Ensured the destination number is active and able to receive SMS.
Tried both portal-based and SDK-based sending – no success.
No clear error message or delivery failure was returned in the portal.
Checked Azure Monitor logs – no delivery confirmation or error codes present.
Request:
We kindly request assistance in:
Verifying whether the message was processed by ACS.
Providing any relevant delivery report/error code for the failed SMS attempt.
Confirming if the purchased number is provisioned correctly for outbound SMS to Australian carriers.
