    Hi ,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Do you remember what it asked to be blocked? Do you face any error messages when you try to login?

    Dear John LEE,

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A Forum. We are happy to assist you.

I understand that you are having trouble opening your Comcast email account in the new Outlook for Windows, and I can understand the inconvenience this has caused you. It sounds like the issue started after a prompt to "block something," which is a crucial detail for us to investigate.

To help us better understand the issue and provide the correct troubleshooting steps, could you please provide a few more details?

    • Do you remember the exact text of the message that asked you to "block something"?
    • Are you seeing any specific error messages or codes when you try to open the account? If so, what does it say?

In the meantime, here are a few common workarounds that often resolve similar account connectivity problems in Outlook:

    1. Confirm your account works online: Please log in to your Comcast webmail account directly from your web browser to ensure your account credentials are correct and the account is not locked on the server side.
    2. Remove and re-add the account: This forces a fresh connection to the mail server. You can do this by going to Settings (the gear icon) in Outlook > Accounts > Email Accounts, selecting your Comcast account, click the three dots (...), and choose Remove. Then, add it back by following the on-screen prompts.
    3. Repair the Outlook Installation: Corrupted program files can sometimes cause issues. You can try to repair Outlook by going to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, right-clicking on your Microsoft Office installation, and selecting Change or RepairDisclaimer: Before proceeding with the repair, it is always a good practice to back up any critical data.
    4. Check for Outlook Updates: Ensure your Outlook application is fully updated. You can check for updates in Outlook by opening the Microsoft Store app. Go to Library or Updates and downloads. Then click Get updates to ensure Outlook is up-to-date.

Please try these steps and let me know how it goes. If the issue persists, your detailed information will be crucial for us to do further research. We look forward to your response.
