AUTO ROTATE NOT WORKING ON MY SURFACE PRO 7+

hi everyone i am currently having an issue with my microsoft surface pro 7+ i lost the feature to auto-rotate i did everything installed the lastest firmware and windows update, this all happened after i updated windows and my intel gpu drivers and i did roll back the update for the graphics driver but still rotate i tried reinstalling the intel sensor collection and the problem still persisted i am hoping it's not hardware related issue

    Welcome to Microsoft Community, Thank you for reaching us. We apologize you are getting this problem on your Surface Pro 7 Plus. Possible reason it might affect the roll back of the driver or updating the recent driver.

    But don't worry rest assure we will give our best to help you with this problem.

    Please follow this technical steps to fix the issue:

    SURFACE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLKIT (CHECK DIAGNOSTIC)

    If you don't have SURFACE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL KIT yet

    please download this in Microsoft Website.

    Open any browser

    Ggo to "https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nf1mr6c60zf?hl=en-us&gl=US"

    Download and install the "Surface Diagnostic Toolkit"

    Once install launch Surface Diagnostic Toolkit app

    Run full scan (It will automatically start scanning your Surface pro for Hardware and Software driver issue.

    Once update is completed restart your Surface 7 Pro Plus

    Check if Auto rotate is working

    If still did not help follow next step

    CHECK STATUS IN UEFI

    restart your Surface 7 Pro Plus and press Volume Up + Power to enter UEFI.

    Once your inside UEFI mode check for the "Device Configuration, Sensors.

    Save and Exit

    Check if Auto rotate is working

    hi i run the test and the diognosis app wasn't able to dectect the sensor Screenshot 2025-08-05 143924 also the sensor tab in my uefi is missing DSC_0864

    Thank you for responding. Possible that Sensor may be malfunctioning you need to reach out to Microsoft Support for Surface. Please follow this steps below.

    Open any browsers

    Go to https://admin.microsoft.com/ /support/microsoftsurfacesupport

    Log in using your Microsoft Account

    On the left pane Menu tap or maximize "Support"

    Tap on "Microsoft Surface Support"

    Create Service Request

    Provide all the information you get from your Surface Pro SN#, Model, Issues.

    Enter your contact details

    Choose for Call, Chat, Email support.

    Review before submitting the request.
