I need a human readable export of all of our current compliance policy's with (at time of running) compliance status with names and descriptions

    $compliance = Get-AzPolicyStateSummary -PolicyAssignmentId $assignment.PolicyAssignmentId

        Name             = $assignment.Name
        DisplayName      = $assignment.DisplayName
        Description      = $assignment.Description
        ComplianceState  = $compliance.ComplianceState
        NonCompliant     = $compliance.NonCompliantResources
        Compliant        = $compliance.CompliantResources
        Scope            = $assignment.Scope
    }
}

# Export to CSV
$results | Export-Csv -Path "AzurePolicyComplianceExport.csv" -NoTypeInformation

Write-Host "✅ Export completed: AzurePolicyComplianceExport.csv"

This works at subscription level. For management group or resource group, adjust the -Scope parameter on Get-AzPolicyAssignment.

• To run this, you need the Az PowerShell module installed.
