Hi, my name is Julian. Please go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and make sure that apps have permission to use it. Then go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices, click Audio under your Airpods entry and confirm Hands Free AG Audio is installed and set as default input device. If you do not see it, you may have to reinstall your Bluetooth and audio drivers through the Device Manager. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-bluetooth-problems-in-windows-723e092f-03fa-858b-5c80-131ec3fba75c and also the audio troubleshooter https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix-sound-or-audio-problems-in-windows-73025246-b61c-40fb-671a-2535c7cd56c8 and let me know if there are any issues detected.

My airpods used to work as a perfect input. My microphone would always work and I had no issues with it. Recently though, my airpods no longer will work as an input. I have tried all the basics, reconnect and disconnect, make sure it's actually selected as an input, repairing, but nothing seems to work... I no longer can call people using my airpods, and it's only an issue on my pc. On my laptop and phone my microphone works perfectly fine.
