There are five Users showing in my Windows 11 Pro Users folder: david; Default, Public, User, and WsiAccount.

My preference is to merge "david" and "User". How can this best be achieved?

    Dear David,

My name is Hoang Phan, and I understand that you are having some query related to User profile folders.

Could you please clarify what you mean by "merging" the two folders?

If both folders contain data currently in use, the safest approach is to manually transfer the data you need into a single user profile, then remove the other one.

To delete a user profile, the recommended method is through System Properties:

    1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
    2. Type sysdm.cpl and press Enter.
    3. In the System Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
    4. Under User Profiles, click Settings.
    5. Select the profile you want to remove, then click Delete.

Note: You may need to reboot your system and log in to a different user profile first. This ensures all processes related to the profile you want to delete are stopped, allowing you to remove it successfully.

I hope this information proves helpful. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need further clarification—I’ll be happy to assist 🙂
