Why can't I change this specific field? Office 2021

Every time I type into this field to save settings in the "Save" page, it just says this error since " "cannot be accessed or is offline. Now my PowerPoint files are always uploaded to OneDrive, but I don't want that since my router is always faulty. I want to put "Save to computer" as a default, but I couldn't because of this stupid setting.

I'm using Office 2021, for those who want to know.

The "Server drafts location" is no longer used in Office. You will have to edit the registry as that is the only way to change the path.

    Exit Word.

Hold the Windows logo key as you press R; in the Run dialog box, type regedit and press Enter. If you see the User Account Control prompt, click yes.

In the registry editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common\Offline\Options. Create a new String value and give it the name Location. Double-click the Location string and specify a path that does exist on your system. (In the sample below, I used "C:" just to keep the path short, for the purpose of this example.)

    Restart Word.

    Hello Melnel Dell,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you're trying to avoid OneDrive due to unreliable internet.

The issue occurs because saving checked-out files to server drafts is no longer supported in Office 2021, and the location entered for offline editing is either invalid or inaccessible.

To resolve this issue, please try the following solutions:

    1. Set Local Save Location as Default: Open PowerPoint > File > Options > Save > Check "Save to Computer by default" > Set a valid local folder (e.g., C:\Users\Documents) in the Default local file location.
    2. Fix Server Drafts Location Error: Use a local path like C:\ServerDrafts. Ensure the folder exists and you have write permissions.
    3. Disable OneDrive Integration: Go to File > Account > Connected Services > Remove or disconnect OneDrive. Alternatively, sign out of OneDrive from Office apps.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,
