yes, I've seen your recommnedation to only create meetings with an and date.

No, that does not solve the problem for those of us with meetings without an end date.

Why, do you ask? Because I don't want to have to remember to go in and extend or re-create a meeting series.

Just. Fix. The. Problem.

    Dear @Joan Burg,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and for your continued patience in Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I want to sincerely acknowledge the frustration you've experienced with Outlook sending separate emails for each event when editing or cancelling a recurring meeting series, especially for meetings without an end date.

I understand how disruptive and inefficient this behavior can be, particularly when managing long-term or indefinite recurring meetings. While Microsoft has documented this behavior and provided some workarounds, such as setting an end date to limit the number of instances affected, I recognize that these solutions may not be ideal for your workflow.

Unfortunately, at this time, Outlook does not offer a built-in fix for this scenario. The system processes each instance individually when no end date is set, which leads to the multiple notifications you've described. I know this isn't the experience you expect or deserve, and I share your disappointment.

Please know that your feedback is incredibly valuable. I appreciate that you have raised your voice in our Q&A Forum so that it can be noticed by the product team, and I also encourage you to also submit feedback directly via Outlook (Help > Feedback > Make a suggestion) or you can go to Microsoft Feedback Portal. The more voices that highlight this issue, the higher the likelihood it will be prioritized for future updates.

In the meantime, I'm here to support you in any way I can. However, I'm limited in my role as a forum moderator and there isn’t a confirmed fix or alternative from Microsoft beyond the existing workarounds. I understand that’s not the answer you were hoping for, and I truly wish I had a better solution to offer. So please kindly let the product team know your frustrating via feedback portal. Your idea will make our community stronger, and I believe that the product team will have action in the future.

Once again, thank you for your understanding and for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns.
