I'm trying to download an audio software app, but the installation stops and this error message comes up: "Encountered unknown exit code from VC++ Redistributable 2 Installer will exit." Any suggestions/solutions welcome. Thanks!

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for posting to the Microsoft Community. I see that you’re getting errors installing your Audio app. The error means it’s lacking the Visual C++ Redistributable, which is required for the app to run or technically the VC Redist included in your sound app installer is corrupted.

Here’s what you can do: download manually install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (both x86 and x64 versions), then try installing your audio software again. I have included links where you can download.
