@Stargle, Sherry I hope you are doing well,

- Check the Recycle Bin
If July’s files were deleted during the copy or overwrite:
Go to your SharePoint site.
Click Settings (⚙️) > Site Contents > Recycle Bin.
Look in both the first-stage and second-stage recycle bins.
Select the missing files or folders and click Restore.
SharePoint retains deleted items for 93 days, so you may still be in the safe zone.
- Restore Previous Versions
If files were overwritten (e.g., August replaced July):
Navigate to the affected document library.
Right-click the overwritten file and choose Version History.
Select a version from July and click Restore3.
This works only if Versioning was enabled in the library settings.
- Restore the Entire Library
If many files were lost or corrupted:
Go to the document library.
Click Settings > Restore this library.
Choose a restore point (e.g., a date in July).
Confirm restoration.
This will roll back the entire library to a previous state—use with caution.
- Use OneDrive Sync or File History
If you had synced the library to your computer:
