Hello everyone,
I’m using Azure API Management in various environments, including the Self-Hosted Gateway (SHGW).
As of now, the documentation of the new MCP Server functionality (Model Context Protocol) does not have any information, if the functionality will be available for Self-Hosted Gateways as well.
I’m specifically wondering:
I would appreciate any information or feedback.

Although there is currently no published timeline or preview program available, we recommend subscribing to updates through the Azure Updates page..
If this is a critical need for your use cases, please consider providing feedback via the Azure Feedback Forum, as customer feedback is essential in shaping feature priorities.

As you've rightly pointed out, there is currently no additional public documentation or confirmed roadmap updates beyond what’s already published.
As of now:
MCP Server is not supported in Self-Hosted Gateways, and
There is no official announcement or preview program indicating future support for SHGW.
