outlook.live.com - can't print attachment (PDF) on EDGE - button doesnt work

When I open an email with a PDF attachment, it won't print. The screen comes up but when you press the button, nothing happens.

Other browsers seem to work..

I might be related to this:

Email printing is broken in Outlook Live (https://outlook.live.com) due to restrictive Content Security Policy (CSP) and Same-Origin Policy.

Details:

Outlook Live renders emails inside a blob: iframe.

The CSP header uses frame-src *;, which does not include blob:, preventing access to the iframe.

Scripts (e.g., owa.76783.m.d14c8b1f.js) fail with a SecurityError when trying to call window.print() on the isolated frame.

An additional script from js.monitor.azure.com is blocked by CSP, potentially breaking dependent functionality.

This problem does not occur on https://outlook.office.com or https://outlook.office365.com.

    Hi @Nelson Modesto,

Thanks for using Microsoft product and posting in the Microsoft Q&A.

It sounds like you're having trouble printing PDF attachments directly from Outlook.live.com when using Microsoft Edge, and I understand how frustrating that can be. You've hit on a very good point about it possibly being related to technical policies like Content Security Policy (CSP) and Same-Origin Policy.

Outlook.live.com uses strict security (blob: iframe for PDFs) that prevents Edge from properly connecting to the print function from within that secure view. The enterprise versions (outlook.office.com, outlook.office365.com) have different CSP policies that allow blob: iframe access and printing. It's a safety measure, but it blocks the print button. Other browsers might handle these security rules differently, which is why they work.

Here are some practical and accurate solutions you can try right now:

    1. Download the PDF first, then print: Once downloaded, open the PDF file directly from your computer using a PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader or even Edge's built-in PDF viewer. From there, you should be able to print without any issues. This is the most reliable workaround.
    2. Use a different web browser for printing (for now): As you've noticed, other browsers like Chrome or Firefox seem to work. If you need to print urgently, open Outlook.live.com in one of those browsers and try printing the attachment from there.

If you want to make sure this gets visibility or share your feedback, you can use the Feedback Hub on Windows or the Microsoft Feedback Portal: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com

I hope this helps with your situation.
