    Hi @Davia Weiner

Thanks for reaching out. I understand how frustrating email issues can be, and I'm here to help you get this resolved as smoothly as possible.

The message "the email on Outlook is not on your server" usually means Outlook on your Mac isn't connecting correctly to your email provider. This can happen for a few common reasons:

    • Incorrect Settings: Your email configuration in Outlook (server names, ports, password, etc.) might be wrong.
    • Wrong Provider: Outlook might be attempting to connect to a different mail server than the one your email is actually hosted on.
    • Local Storage: Some emails may be stored locally on your Mac or associated with a third-party account. Outlook can still display these if they were previously downloaded and cached, even if they're no longer on the server.

To help clarify and resolve the issue, please go through the following steps:

    Confirm your email provider

Check whether your email address is hosted by our service or by another provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook.com, a company domain, etc.). You can usually tell by looking at the domain in your address (e.g., @gmail.com or @yourcompany.com).

    Review Outlook Account Settings

    • In Outlook for Mac, go to Tools > Accounts and ensure the following:
    • The correct email address is entered.
    • The incoming (IMAP/POP) and outgoing (SMTP) server settings match your provider’s official configuration.
    • Authentication details (username/password) are accurate.

    Check your internet connection

Ensure your Mac is connected to the internet and that Outlook is not stuck in offline mode.

Try accessing your email via webmail

If your provider offers a webmail portal (e.g., gmail.com, outlook.com, or your company’s webmail), log in there to check if your emails appear:

    • If emails appear in webmail but not in Outlook: The issue likely lies with Outlook’s sync or configuration.
    • If emails are missing from both: They may not be on the server, or there may be a broader issue with your email account.

If you've tried the steps above and the problem continues, we might need some more specific information to investigate further:

    • The type of provider you're using (e.g., Gmail, company mail, etc.).
    • Whether you're using IMAP or POP (if known).
    • A description of your current account settings (without sensitive details).

Once we have this information, we'll be able to guide you through the specific steps needed to correct or reconfigure your account.

Thank you again for contacting us. We're committed to helping you resolve this issue as quickly and effectively as possible, and we look forward to your response.
