My edge crashed while I was doing my chemistry summer homework. Prior to the crash, I used annotating and inserting text boxes. The screen did go black several times but eventually microsoft edge still responded. Is there any way I can save the changes I made to my homework before exiting? The homework is about 20 pages, and would mean hard work to recomplete. Thanks!

Hello Li. Unfortunately, once Microsoft Edge's PDF viewer crashes, especially with Adobe-powered editing tools, all unsaved annotations and text boxes are usually lost unless the file was saved before the crash occurred. Edge does not auto-save PDF edits in real time and the temporary edits are saved in temporary data area, which is volatile memory. Once the Edge process crashes or restarts the your temporary data has cleared. So, if you experience a crash, there is little chance to retrieve anything from the PDF viewer.
