ONEDRIVE documents made on Desktop with Windows OS do not show on ONEDRIVE iPad

I have the OneDrive app on both my Desktop OP Windows and my Apple iPad. They are set to sync. My Documents on the desktop are saved to OneDrive but they do not appear on the Apple OneDrive app. I can, though, see pictures I have made on my iPad on my desktop OneDrive facility. I have not paid a subscription, assuming my Documents would not take up more than the 5 free Gigabits. I don't want to pay anything if it doesn't serve my purpose. Can anybody see where I am going wrong?

Hi Pip, thanks for reaching out!

Just to check, are you saving your documents on your desktop inside the OneDrive folder, like OneDrive > Documents (not just “Documents” under This PC)? And are you signed in with the same Microsoft account on both devices?

If your files are saved correctly in the OneDrive folder and syncing is on, they should appear on your iPad in the OneDrive app under Files > Documents. Try pulling down to refresh the app. If they still don’t show, visit support.microsoft.com/onedrive for step-by-step sync help.

    Regards,

    Arlene D.
