I saved database connections in via mssql extension in vs code and now when I click on mssql, I don't see them. All I see when I click on the mssql icon is this. Screenshot 2025-07-25 at 4.16.34 PM

You are clicking on MS SQL database projects extension. The database project uses database references, not connection.

You need to install the SQL Server (MSSQL) extension. when installed it looks like a server box. It now supports connections and connection groups. click on its icon after install (did not see in your screenshot).
