Copying and pasting from WORD into the q and a website doesn’t work. When is it going to be fixed?

Exact time frame please (e.g. in the second quarter of 2026) and can we have it so that colours copy over from WORD into the q and a website?

Hi,

Copying and pasting content from Word works as expected. Here's a sample paragraph copied directly from Word:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.

Font color isn't currently supported in the Q&A editor, so that formatting won't carry over when you paste. This has been requested before and logged for consideration.

Well that’s not what I see here; also John Korchock said that this is a known issue.

If I copy and paste from WORD single spacing of paragraphs gets changed to double and this character - gets changed to a round bullet point.

John said that the workaround was to copy and paste into NOTEPAD and then from there into the q and a website; this does work apart from the - problem mentioned above.

I’ll copy and paste this particular posting from WORD into the website so that you can see exactly what’s happening.

Ah, I see. So the issue isn't that Word content can't be pasted into the Q&A editor, but rather that the formatting isn't preserved?

I replied to a test thread using content copied directly from Word, including bullet points, dashes, and single-spaced paragraphs. Everything pasted as it appeared in Word. The only thing I did notice was that the bullet points and dashes where not separated as a list, which I had to adjust manually.
