Duplication of dashboards in Azure Manged Grafana v11.6

Hello BAD,

It looks like Azure Managed Grafana v11.6 introduced a significant shift in how it handles dashboard imports and versioning, which is causing the issue. 

This behavior change introduced in Azure Managed Grafana v11.6. Starting from this version, Grafana now supports and tracks version history for dashboards more aggressively and importing the same dashboard JSON repeatedly will now create new dashboard revisions, rather than updating in-place unless explicitly configured. 

Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue: 

1. Set a consistent uid in your dashboard JSON files, each dashboard JSON must have a unique, manually specified uid that stays the same across deployments. If your dashboard JSONs are generated, modify the generation logic to assign and preserve a static UID per dashboard. 
2. Add overwrite: true when importing dashboards, If your pipeline uses the Grafana API (POST /api/dashboards/db), ensure your payload includes: This ensures Grafana updates the existing dashboard, rather than creating a sibling. 
3. Use folderUid or folderId, Make sure you're also specifying the correct folder, Otherwise, dashboards might be created in the General folder by default.

4. Clean up the duplicates or old versions manually or via API: 

• Use /api/search?query=<dashboard-title> to list all versions. 
• Use DELETE /api/dashboards/uid/:uid to remove the unwanted ones.
