Solution: Make the custom agent but via Microsoft 365 Copilot desktop app, not via Copilot Studio on browser.
"The agent isn't available in Word, but you can access it in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat."
I've created a custom agent in Copilot Studio. Published it to the Teams + Microsoft 365 Copilot
channel. While the agent appears in Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat, it is greyed out in Word. The message displayed says:
"The agent isn't available in Word, but you can access it in Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat."
Steps I've taken:
- Published the agent to the
Teams + Microsoft 365 Copilot
channel. - Verified my subscription (Monthly Office 365 Suite).
- Checked the burger menu in Word's Copilot panel, but the agent is not listed alongside others like Prompt Coach, Writing Coach, etc.
I watched the video Microsoft Copilot Studio Demo (timestamp: 7:47 onwards) and followed the steps shown, but I still cannot access the agent in Word. Notably, my channel is named Teams + Microsoft 365 Copilot
, whereas the channel in the video is named Teams + Microsoft 365
.
Could this discrepancy in channel names indicate a difference in functionality or permissions?
