I understand you need to determine the correct license to assign to a user whose Fabric trial is expiring to avoid data loss.
To request an extension, you need to contact Microsoft Fabric support and provide your trial capacity ID and the reason for the extension. You can find your trial capacity ID in the Account manager under Trial status.
