I Have a non-outlook email address, for example, a gmail or a domain linked to my business. I want to use the old Outlook classic as I can make bespoke forms in tasks. The problem is, my email address won't allow sync to occur and says (next to calendar and tasks) 'This computer Only'.

Yes, I have gone into my outlook profiles on my laptop and created new profile etc. I can only use the tasks and calendar with an outlook or hotmail address.

PS Techy language will be lost on me so please explain like I am 6 yrs old.

    Dear Julie Alfrey
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and thank you for reaching out to share your issue.

Based on the information you provided, I understand that you would like to use the full feature set of Outlook Classic, including calendar and task functionalities, with a non-Outlook email address (such as Gmail or a custom domain). However, Outlook is displaying the message “This computer only” next to your calendar and task folders, which indicates that this data is not being synced to the cloud.

To better assist you, could you please clarify the type of business account you are currently using (e.g., Hotmail, Exchange, or another service)? This information will be very helpful in identifying the most suitable solution for your situation.

Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to assisting you further and resolving this matter promptly.
