Here’s a simple fix you can try:
At first, Go to Settings > Apps > Office Mobile, then Clear Cache and Clear Data.
and do ensure Office Mobile has all necessary permissions enabled in Settings > Apps > Office Mobile > Permissions.
also, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue continues.
After that, make sure Office Mobile is updated to the latest version via the Google Play Store.
Then, remove your Microsoft account from the device and re-add it.
Lastly, ensure your Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is running the latest One UI and Android updates.
