Excel cannot open file because file format or extension is not valid

Couple of weeks back, I were working on my Excel file. And when done, I did not properly save file before exiting App. Since then, have not been able to open that file. I tried forwarding file via email and open from my PC. But didn’t work.

    Did you try Open and repair option?

    Can you share this file to OneDrive? I'd look at it.
