ClipChamp file import lag

Starting around 2pm this afternoon, I have now encountered this problem using ClipChamp twice.

When uploading a file earlier, of about 500 MB, it took at least 2 hours whereas before it would only take minutes.

Now, trying a smaller file of around 400 MB, it looks to be doing the same thing. Taking way too long.

So, I tried a file I imported yesterday with no problem that was around the same file size. Again, it is taking too long.

The file import progress, from desktop I might add, is taking 1% every 5-10 minutes - or more.

This is highly unacceptable and terribly inconsistent with the way it has operated.

If there is some server outage, please state that first. Otherwise, it better not be this way from now on or I'm ditching the program altogether and deleting Microsoft Edge right along with it.

    Hello,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I completely understand your frustration—waiting hours for a simple file import that used to take minutes is unacceptable, especially when you're trying to work efficiently. The sudden slowdown you're experiencing (1% progress every 5–10 minutes for 400–500 MB files) is not normal behavior for Clipchamp.

The timing suggests an issue with Clipchamp’s servers or cloud processing—not your system. Your reaction is justified.

    Next Step:

    Contact Clipchamp Support Directly
This is beyond community troubleshooting. Clipchamp’s team must investigate their backend:

    Demand escalation in your ticket:

    • Reference the exact time.
    • Note the file sizes tested (400–500 MB) and prior successful imports.
    • State: “Import speed dropped to 1% per 5–10 minutes with no local changes.”

    Best regards,
