Hi GabrielGuerra1
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
I understand how frustrating it can be to lose important data unexpectedly. There are a few things you can try to recover your lost data:
Possible Recovery Methods
Check OneDrive or Cloud Backup If your Excel app is connected to OneDrive or another cloud service, check if an older version of the file exists there. Sometimes files are automatically saved to the cloud.
Look for Temporary or AutoRecover Files
Open Excel and go to File > Open > Recent
Scroll to the bottom and click Recover Unsaved Workbooks
If your lost data is there, you can restore it.
Search for Local Backup Files Some Android devices store temporary versions of files in the storage directory. You can try checking: Android > Data > com.microsoft.office.excel > files
Try Checking the File History (If Using OneDrive)
If your file was saved on OneDrive, right-click the file in OneDrive (on a PC) and select Version History
See if an earlier version with your data is available.
Restart Your Device & Check Again Sometimes Excel might have saved the latest version but is failing to show it. Restarting your phone can refresh the cache and might help display the correct file.
Why Might This Have Happened?
Sync Issue: If the file was open in multiple places, changes might not have synced properly.
App Glitch: Occasionally, the app may not correctly register saved versions.
Storage Issues: If your phone’s storage is low, auto-saving may have failed.
If none of these solutions work, I recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support directly here for further assistance.
