Cannot hide or unhide sheets. All I can see is Writing Tools and Protection. I used to be able to do this on my iPad. Can you assist please?

    Hi Timothy,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and making community posts.

I understands the importance of resolving this issue, Don’t worry I will be helping you with this following steps.

Try These Steps to Hide/Unhide Sheets on Your iPad:

    1. Check the Ribbon Menu:
      • Open your Excel workbook.
      • Look at the top ribbon—tap the three dots (...) if you don’t see all menu options.
      • Navigate to Home > Format and check for "Hide Sheet" or "Unhide Sheet."
    2. Use Sheet Tabs:
      • If you can see sheet tabs at the bottom, press and hold the sheet name—sometimes this brings up options like Hide/Unhide.
    3. Check Protection Settings:
      • Since you're seeing "Protection," it’s possible the workbook or sheets are locked.
      • Go to Review > Protect Sheet or Review > Protect Workbook and turn off protection if needed.
    4. Try a Different View Mode:
      • Switch to Normal View by going to View > Workbook View—sometimes hidden sheets become visible here.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.
