    Hello David McConkey,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Support!

I understand your frustration because of this issue. In order to resolve the issue follow the given steps:

    1. Make sure you're using the correct Microsoft account credentials. This might differ if you’ve used separate accounts for Office apps and OneDrive.
    2. Visit the Microsoft Account Recovery page to verify or recover your account.
    3. Log into your Microsoft account online.
    4. Check your subscription status under Services & Subscriptions.
    5. If the subscription has expired, you'll need to renew it.
    6. On your Android device, go to Settings > Apps > Excel (and Word).
    7. Clear the app's cache and stored data.
    8. Re-open the app and attempt to log in with your credentials again.
    9. Sign out of OneDrive, OneNote, Word, and Excel apps.
    10. Re-sign in using the same Microsoft account credentials.
    11. Visit the Google Play Store and update Excel, Word, and related apps to the latest version.

If none of the above work:

    • Uninstall Excel and Word from your phone.
    • Reinstall them from the Google Play Store.
    • Log in again with your Microsoft account.
