I am using lots of checkboxes on a shared spreadsheet on which users have to check their answers. The default checkbox, using black squares with a white tick is very legible on a laptop and iPad but on an iPhone, the tiny squares are white with a pale black tick and hardly legible. How do I inverse the black and white?

    Good day!

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

To change the appearance of checkboxes in Excel on your iPhone or iPad, you can try changing the theme settings on your device. Here's how you can do it:

    1. Open the Excel app on your iPhone or iPad.
    2. Go to the "Settings" within the Excel app.
    3. Look for the option to change the theme or appearance settings.
    4. Select a theme that provides better visibility for checkboxes, such as a dark theme that may invert the colors of the checkboxes.

Please note that the appearance of checkboxes may be influenced by the device's system settings and may not be directly customizable within the Excel app. If changing the theme settings does not improve the visibility of the checkboxes, you may consider using a different device or platform for better legibility.

    Hope this helps!
