Based on your description, if resetting and reinstalling doesn't work, we also suspect that there may be a compatibility issue between the phone's system environment and the newer versions of Office apps. We recommend that you first check if there is an update available for your phone system (Settings > System Update), as older Android versions may not support the functionality of the latest version of Office apps.
There are currently Microsoft 365 Copilot and standalone Word/Excel/ PowerPoint apps, not sure which of the two you are specifically using. If a particular app is not working, try searching for and switching between different versions in the Play Store.
If the problem persists, it is recommended that you temporarily access the web version of Officefrom another device or computer to continue working. In the meantime, submit an issue through the Microsoft Feedback Center, describing the issue in detail and including system version information, which will help the development team prioritize fixing compatibility issues.
