SPO Highlighted Content webpart does not work when using Filmstrip Layout

Issue was tested on several IPhones and SharePoint App. Seems that issue is with the app. Some other features also don’t work in the sharepoint app (Mega Menu is shown in Edge, not in App) - so maybe the question is if Microsoft encourages the use in Edge on the phone and the app is obsolete?

Issue exists only when using Filmstrip layout. Other layouts e.g. Carousel or Compact are working as intended.

Can Somebody try to test or inform about Microsoft SP App plans for the future? Please check screenshot

    I tested it on my end, and I did find the same situation. I also did some research, and I found that other users have reported Highlighted Content webpart does not work when using Filmstrip Layout in SharePoint App. However, the browser works. Including Edge and Google Chrome.

    I think it may be a flaw in the design that is causing this web part to not work as expected in the SharePoint app. I also think this is unreasonable, and I apologize for the inconvenience this phenomenon has caused you.

    I've given feedback to developers through my channels here. thanks for pointing this out. Microsoft is constantly working to improve the functionality of its O365 products, and such feedbacks are greatly appreciated. You can also go tothe feedback communityto create a new entry or vote for it.

    The reason I ask you to submit feedback in the feedback forum is that Microsoft developers are constantly watching the comments in this forum, and only they have the permission and resources to fix the functionality of the app, I also hope that this feature will be fixed soon so that it will work properly in the SharePoint app
