Copilot studio stuck in “Setting up your copilot might take awhile” state

I am trying to launch copilot studio for the first time. However, when I attempt to access https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com, I keep getting the message “Setting up your copilot might take awhile”. The message has been there for a couple of days.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? The account that I am using to login has been assigned the copilot trial license.
