When will we have HLG support?? the situation right now is not accectaple. HLG gets displayed as PQ which is plain wrong, way too dark, with wrong contrast and luminance is, looks like SDR. Every mobile phone or tablet has HLG support, so its har to understand why Windows cant handle it.

    Hi Phi Alek,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding HLG support on Windows. Currently, Windows supports HDR primarily through the PQ (ST 2084) standard. Support for other HDR formats like HLG depends largely on the capabilities of your display device and graphics drivers. You can find more information here:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/direct3darticles/high-dynamic-range

We understand that the current handling of HLG content—being displayed as PQ resulting in darker images and incorrect contrast—is not ideal and impacts your viewing experience. Our Windows Graphics development team is actively collaborating with hardware partners and driver manufacturers to improve HDR support, including expanding compatibility for formats like HLG in future updates. While we do not have a specific timeline to share at this moment, please be assured that your feedback is highly

If you have any further questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.
