Problem connecting to new SKY broadband hub wifi with Windows 10. while trouble shooting, I read that you have retired this problem response. Note:- I am not completely without internet or printer connection as I have a wifi booster supplied by Sky with the new hub with an Ethernet cable from this to the PC that keeps me connected. I have been trying to connect to the wifi with the Ethernet cable plugged in and disconnected. Guess I will have to continue with the Ethernet cable connection until I change my computer as it is not compatible with Windows 11. Probably an indication of what I will lose as you move closer to the Windows 10 support close-out date. But if you can help, please do.

Best Regards

    Hello Ian

I need some more information/clarification as I cannot tell it clearly from your post.

You said you were not completely without internet, is it because you can use Ethernet ONLY, or you still have some way to connect to Wifi - it is unclear to me when you mentioned the wifi booster, sounds like the wifi booster plays a part in helping you connect.

If you cannot connect to wifi at all, I need to know -

Wifi works for other devices at home, right?

What's the behavior? Is it because the Wifi SSID doesn't show up for you to connect to? Or it shows up, but it will not connect?

Can you share with me two screenshots please?

    1. Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters, I would like to see what's listed.
    2. Please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up.

    Thanks!
