When I open a new tab, it disappears into a black hole on the right side of the tab bar. Why?

I probably have 75 tabs open, but only 66 tabs are visible in the tab bar. The other tabs to the right are invisible, and I can only access them by deleting visible tabs. Unlike firefox, it appears that Edge does not allow you to scroll through your tabs, right or left. And, as the number of tabs increase, each tab becomes smaller and condensed, until the tab bar essentially begins to hide new tabs. So I tried installing firefox, but Edge wouldn't allow it to run. So, if I am going to keep using Edge, is there any way that I can access these invisible tabs without deleting the visible ones?

    Hi Todd,

I'm Cherrelyn and I'm here to help.

Edge doesn't currently allow horizontal tab scrolling like Firefox. Once the tab count exceeds a certain limit, new tabs may become hidden or inaccessible unless you close others.

To work around this please try to Vertical Tabs just click he tab icon in the top-left corner or right-click a tab and choose “Turn on vertical tabs.” This will show all tabs in a scrollable list. Use Tab Search just press Ctrl + Shift + A to open a searchable list of all open tabs, including hidden ones.

I hope this makes browsing easier again. Let me know if you need help enabling those options.

    Warm regards,

    Cherrelyn
