Intermittent 404's on Cosmos DB Queries

My service started getting 404's returned intermittently on valid queries to one of our Cosmos DB Account. This started on July 8th, 2025. We didn't have a deployment that had the timing lined up with it. We don't have it on our other Accounts with the same queries. Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

- Review Error Details: If possible, look at the response details from the 404 errors. There might be more context provided that could help pinpoint the issue.
- Compare with Other Accounts: Since you mentioned that the same queries are working fine on your other accounts, compare the configurations, partitions, and throughput settings between the accounts for any differences.
- Enable Diagnostic Logs: If not already done, enable and monitor diagnostic logging. This can give deeper insights into what's happening during those requests.

2025-07-21T16:18:02.28+00:00 We were able to isolate the issue to the integrated cache. When we used the url to hit the DB directly bypassing the cache things started functioning properly again. I'm working with support as well and shared some diagnostic logs with them

2025-07-21T17:03:45.5766667+00:00 I'm not sure I'd say it was resolved. We can't use the integrated cache which we would like to use for performance and to help us scale.

2025-07-22T16:32:00.47+00:00 I shared the support ticket in private messages. But the temporary work around to just use the connection string to directly connect to the db. We could probably tear down the dedicated gateway and bring it back up. But for now we are holding off on that incase there is something the azure team can find with us leaving the gateway in a bad state.
