Understanding Microsoft Q&A System

I am new to this but have used the Microsoft Community many times and thus am comparing this to the Community and must say, I greatly prefer the Community System much more, it is easier to use overall and in general but will ask some questions to try to enhance my knowledge of the system and try to get used to it. So, with that in mind, here goes:
- In the Community, we create a new question, enter the title and the details and then can come back and edit our input to the original input of the question and/or to responses we may have entered to the suggested answers to our questions, but I see no method here to do any editing, How is editing done in this system?
- I know we are only supposed to ask one question but that in this case, that would be a total and complete waste of time, which, sorry, I do not have. I am now 81 years old and if you are in your 20's or 30's an hour will last 60 minutes but as people age, our clocks work much, much faster and while it does indicate an 60 minutes for us, as compared to the younger folks I mentioned earlier, it is more like 60 minutes being equal to 15 minutes for us - SERIOUSLY, don't laugh, don't misunderstand what I am saying for what I said is true and real. I would like to know who or why or how the questions above came about, as in "Select a "child" item." I don't get the "Child" as it makes no sense to me whatsoever. However, upon learning the meaning of this, it might then make sense, at least I certainly hope so. There is a "answer" below, however, it still makes no sense. I don't know if someone of a very young age came up with this terminology or who did but why change what everyone knows and switch to something totally new that in this instance, does not help anyone to understand anything and the currently well known term of "sub-category" makes much more sense. I know the youth of today believes there is a better way, but unfortunately, their thinking is not exactly in line with the majority of folks who have done things a certain way for centuries or at the very least, for a great number of decades and therefore I reject the "child" terminology in total. Get rid of it? I am sure a great number of folks would agree with me over this.
- Upon filling out a draft to ask a question, under "Find your answer:" if we click on "Answer my question", we get some input that may or may not pertain to our situation. Where exactly does this come from? Are we, or can we respond to the suggestions, and if so, will our input matter to anyone?
- For the present time, that is all I have to ask but may well ask more at a later date. Thank you.
