Custom tab colors don't save after re-opening window

Hello!

I'm wondering if anyone else is running into this issue where the custom tab colors aren't being saved after closing and opening Edge?

I'm primarily working in Workspaces - however, I believe this happens in non-Workspaces environments as well.

Version 138.0.3351.83 (Official build) (64-bit)

    Hi! It is a known bug affecting Edge version 138.0.3351.83 and some recent builds.

    Current Status (as of July 2025)

    Microsoft has acknowledged the error in the recent builds for the Insider, as well as stable ones. This seems to be related to caching and saving tab group metadata at close, with Workspaces seeming to behave even more inconsistently.

    This s likely to be fixed in an upcoming Edge Stable update (possibly 139.x) but , no timeframe when it will be released.
