Getting provisioning failed error after doing reimage to VMSS agent

The steps I have undertaken that resulted in an error are as follows:
I increased the disk size, for instance, from 256 GB to 356 GB.
Subsequently, I attempted to reimage the virtual machine scale set.
This operation failed, and the current provision state is now marked as failed.
I do not have any automatic repair options available to me.
It is quite frustrating that since the reimage operation failed, the VMSS should have retained its previous state. It now appears that everything has been disrupted due to the reimage process.
In the event of a failure in any operation, Azure should revert all changes made.

Do you have any back up or snapshot of the VM before the changes? consider restoring from that backup.
If the reimage operation failed, Azure typically does not automatically revert changes made during the operation. However, you can manually revert the disk size change if it is still possible. If the VMSS is in a failed state, you may need to redeploy the VMSS. This can be done by selecting the "Redeploy" option in the Azure Portal. This will attempt to recreate the instances in the scale set.
Check the activity logs for the VMSS to see if there are any additional error messages or warnings that can give you more context about the failure.

If you have a previously taken snapshot or backup, you may be able to restore the service from it. Also, please check whether the OS disk of the VMSS is still available in the resource group. If it is, you can create a new virtual machine using that OS disk.

I will be good if anyone help by setting up meeting, as this has been frustrating and totally messed up working things. Their should have been at least warning before reimage from Azure side.
