    Hello joanie garro,

Here are some quick fixes you can try

    1. Clear Browser Cache & Cookies

In Edge, go to edge://settings/clearBrowserData. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files". Set the time range to "All time" and click Clear.

    1. Try in InPrivate Mode

Press Ctrl+Shift+N to open an InPrivate window. Log into Gmail and try opening the PDF again. If it works, the issue is likely due to an extension or cache.

    1. Disable Browser Extensions

Go to edge://extensions/ and temporarily disable all extensions. Refresh Gmail and test the PDF preview again.

    1. Check PDF Download Settings in Edge

Visit edge://settings/content/pdfDocuments. Make sure "Always download PDFs" is turned off. Also check edge://settings/downloads to ensure PDFs are set to open in the browser.

    1. Sign in Properly to the Correct Google Account

If you’re signed into multiple accounts, Gmail might use an expired session. Try signing out and back in, or make sure you're using the right account tab.

    Deeper Troubleshooting

    A. Inspect the PDF Link

Right-click the PDF → "Copy link address" → paste it in Notepad. Check if the link is unusually long or includes strange encoding. This can cause Edge to misinterpret the request.

    B. Test in Another Browser

Try Chrome or Firefox. If it works there, the problem is isolated to Edge.

    C. Check for Proxy, VPN, or Security Software

Tools like Netskope, ZScaler, or antivirus software might interfere with Gmail attachments. Disable them briefly to test if the issue goes away.

    Alternative Action

Instead of right-clicking, simply left-click the PDF attachment in Gmail. This should open the PDF in a preview window using Google Docs viewer. If it fails, it might confirm a session issue or security filter blocking it.
