Hi Void Pilled,
Unfortunately, there’s no direct upgrade path between architectures. In order to upgrade from Windows 10 32-bit to 64-bit, you’ll need to do a clean installation of Windows 10 64-bit.
Here's how to do it:
1. Check if your PC supports 64-bit
Press Windows + R
, type msinfo32
, and press Enter.
Look for System Type:
- If it says x64-based PC, you're good to go.
- If it says x86-based PC, your hardware doesn’t support 64-bit.
2. Back up your data
A clean install will erase everything on your system drive. Be sure to back up your files to OneDrive, an external drive, or another backup methods.

3. Create a bootable USB
Use the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft:

4. Install Windows 10 64-bit
Boot from the USB, delete your old partitions, and install fresh.

Note: Windows 10 support ends in October 2025, and if your PC doesn’t meet the requirements for Windows 11, it might be time to consider replacing the system altogether.
