Hi Abhinandan Swain,
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check if Wi-Fi is disabled
- Press
Windows + R
, typencpa.cpl
, and press Enter. - Look for your Wi-Fi adapter. If it’s greyed out, right-click and choose Enable.
2. Restart the Network Adapter
- Go to Device Manager, expand
Network adapters
, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter, and select Disable. Wait a few seconds, then Enable it again.
3. Run the Network Troubleshooter
- Click the
Start
button and type “Troubleshoot settings
”, then press Enter. - In the window that opens, click
Other troubleshooters
(orAdditional troubleshooters
if you're on an older version). - Look for
Network and Internet
and click Run next to it.
4. Use a USB Wi-Fi Adapter
- As a last resort, you can buy a small device called a USB Wi-Fi adapter (sometimes called a Wi-Fi dongle). It plugs into your laptop’s USB port and gives you Wi-Fi access just like a built-in adapter would. They’re usually affordable and easy to set up—just plug it in, and Windows will often install the driver automatically.
