Hello, Caleb Keeton
Thank you for your feedback. I understand that you are having trouble opening your browser. Here are some troubleshooting solutions:
- Try a clean boot
Press Windows+R and enter:
msconfig
Click on “Services” at the top, check “Hide all Microsoft services” at the bottom. Be sure to check this box, otherwise disabling some Microsoft services may cause serious problems such as the computer not booting up. Click “Disable all.” Click “Startup” at the top, then click “Open Task Manager.” In the Task Manager (Processes), click “Startup” at the top, right-click each item with the ‘Status’ displayed as “Enabled,” and select “Disable.”
After booting up, open Task Manager and ensure there are no non-Microsoft processes running. Check if the system has returned to normal.
If everything is normal, you can gradually re-enable the disabled services and software used daily to see if any of them are causing the issue.
- Try using Update Repair.
Open Settings, System, Recovery, and select “Use Update Repair.”
If none of the above methods work, please note that you are using a Surface computer, so I recommend using image recovery.
