It's better you update to a supported version of Windows to keep getting support and security updates. Driver updates and application updates for Windows XP has also stopped a few years ago.
Please do update to a supported version of Windows.
That being said, please check if your PC is infected by any kind of infection. As far as I remember Windows XP required a format almost every year for me to keep functioning smoothly, so if you have the installation media, you might try that.

2022-01-17T17:53:05+00:00 Why are you changing the resolution? What are you changing it from and to? Have you updated your video driver? Is this a new problem, or has it happened in the past? Why are you still using XP?
