Hi all!

so i have been facing this issue lately where my "1394 OHCI Compliant host user" has stopped working all it says is "this device cannot start (code 10)". with this error i cannot connect my USB with my PC, the PC doesn't even detect it. I have done everything which was possible at my end :-

  1. Re installed the driver, restarted PC
  2. Disabled and re-enabled the driver

I again tried to re install the driver but all it says is :-

Did you install any program or make any changes to your PC before this problem started?

Does it work in other device?

    Try update your Windows.

What happened to your system shortly before the problem started?

Are there any other error icons showing in Device Manager? If so, please provide complete names for each device with an error.

The 1394 Host Controller is for a FireWire port, not for USB. FireWire was used for some older Apple products, but AFAIK, almost nothing uses that type of port these days. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_1394

What file did you use to reinstall the driver? If you didn't obtain the driver from your computer's manufacturer, go to the manufacturer's support website, enter the identifying information for your computer (generally your computer's serial number, Dell Service Tag, a similar identifier) and if there is a Windows 7 FireWire (IEEE 1394) driver, download that and install it.
