Google Doc Spellchecker not Compatible with Edge Browser?

Google docs spellchecker is not highlighting known misspelled words. I'm using Microsoft editor plugin for my browser spellcheck. It works as expected on other web pages but not google docs.

As anyone run into this issue?

    I use and test the features you mentioned and found that the MacOs version of the Edge plugin Microsoft Editor may have an incompatibility issue in Google Docs. We'll feedback this issue to the Edge team, and we also recommend that you feedback this phenomenon to Google Docs tech support, and we hope that your issue will be resolved.
