How do I get rid of Microsoft Edge which seemed to download itself to my windows 7 during an update.

    If you want to uninstall edge, since you are using the Windows 7 Operating system, please follow these steps

    1. Run Control panel (Windows + R then type "control" and press enter)
    2. Under the "Programs", click on Uninstall a program
    3. Look for Edge and select it
    4. On the upper part, Select Uninstall
    5. Then follow on-screen instructions and let it finish

    Thank you for the information. I did as you instructed and no problems. Will it come back to again if windows updates in the future?

    You're most welcome LoriAnn53. I cannot guarantee you that it will not be reinstalled on the future updates, I may suggest you turn off the auto-update feature to avoid it from coming back to your Windows 7

    If you do not have Windows 7 Extended Security Updates, it will definitely will not came back itself if you removed it.
