I need Java applets enabled on my surface pro

I need Java applets enabled on my surface pro, I know that chrome no longer supports java and I can't see java on the controller panel or access "tools" on my internet explorer because the surface pro runs app style browsers. I need this java applet for my work. I am a complete computer novice. Please if anylne can help, this java applet runs all of my rotas so I'll need to use it regularly Ally x
