What do Purchase as a home user to get power automate to activate a copilot studio agent.

I’ve signed up for the 60-day trial of Copilot Studio and created an agent that is triggered by the "When a new email arrives (v3)" event in Power Automate. The flow then sends a prompt to the specified Copilot for processing, where the agent uses the knowledge base I provided to answer questions from the email. Finally, it uses "Send an Email (v2)" to reply to the sender with those answers.

Issue: The Power Automate flow successfully detects the new email and shows a green checkmark on the “Send a prompt” step, but the Copilot agent never activates automatically. If I manually test the trigger and select a previously received email, the agent works as expected — it responds correctly and sends the reply. However, I need this process to run fully automatically without manual intervention.

I suspect this limitation may be due to the trial version. If that’s the case, what is the minimum subscription or license I can purchase as a home user to enable this functionality.

    Hi @Janet Michels

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum

As a moderator, while I don't have the tools or permissions to perform a deep dive into your specific account, I've done my best to research the general requirements for your scenario. Based on this, here are a couple of things I'd suggest checking:

Please check your App Registration in the Entra Admin Center to ensure all necessary API permissions have been granted.

Regarding the Power Automate license, my understanding is that this type of unattended flow often requires a specific Power Automate license. It might be worth considering if the current license plan is a factor in this issue.

However, due to limitations in this area, I regret that I’m unable to assist you effectively. I would highly recommend contacting the official Microsoft Power Platform Community Forum Thread directly. They have the necessary tools to investigate and solve this for you.

Hope you will solve the problem soon.
